Now that we're open...Why not see the rest of Leigh on Sea

Now that we've FINALLY been able to open up to you all I thought I'd list reason why Leigh on Sea is a wonderful destination to visit and why Rockamilly is just a fraction of the beauty this town holds.

If you've never visited before, let me tell you that Leigh on Sea is so special to the people that live and work here. We're so lucky to have the beach on our doorstep, historic buildings to use as backdrops and wonderful independent retailers that go above and beyond to give their customers top notch service. I've worked in high streets before but Leigh just has an edge of something different.

After you've visited our beautiful boutique and shopped yourself silly, why not pop along the Broadway for a coffee and cake from our good friends at Wilmas. You'll find them inside the arcade, baking up a storm. Whether it's blondies, brownies, cupcakes, THE ULTIMATE COOKIE or just a slice of Vic Sponge! Their coffees are to die for, personally I'm a huge fan of the Lotus Biscoff Latte!!! 🥰

If it's something a little less sweet you're after we have such a fantastic range of restaurants to choose from, all just a short walk from the store. Fellinis, The Estuary and Stop The World just name just three. Perhaps a quick sandwich instead? Hippos, Gourmet Deli or Brunch & Co are also fabulous eateries.

Perhaps though, you've seen on our socials the infamous hill that leads to the old town. A steep, cobbled hill, that feels as though you've stepped out of a tardis and into the 1930's. An array of original fisherman's cottages sit nestled into the hill and at the end of it, over the bridge is Old Leigh. It's second to non in my eyes. I've spent more time there than I can count. Taken photos, enjoyed time with friends and family. Eaten seafood at Osbournes and taken chips onto the sandy beach from The Mayflower. There is a stretch of pubs along the main road through Old Leigh. Perhaps partake in a pint in each, then wander along the cinder path into Chalkwell? You could pop in the car and wander around Belfairs woods. Hike up to Hadleigh castle or if you're feeling really brave, take a Stand Up Paddleboard lesson from the guys down at Saltwater Cafe

There are so many cute boutiques that you'll discover throughout your time in Leigh on Sea, too many to mention in all honesty. There is always a discovery to be made after you've left us here at Rockamilly.
